CES 2016: Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum RGB gaming mouse coming in Jan. 2016

Here we go, the latest and greatest from Shacknews...

Logitech is introducing its G502 Proteus Spectrum Gaming Mouse at this year’s CES, which is an updated version of its best-selling Logitech G502 Proteus Core that now offers RGB support for up to 16.8 million colors while retaining the same powerful PMW3366 sensor.

The Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum Gaming Mouse allows the user to tweak its RGB lighting to their liking as it has a number of display options, including breathing light patterns, continuously cycle through the color spectrum, and even synchronize with Logitech G’s other RGB products.

As far as accuracy goes, the PMW3366 is Logitech’s most powerful and accurate optical sensor and is combined with the Logitech G Delta Zero optical sensor technology, which increases reliable targeting. The mouse features a wide DPI range of 200 to 12,000 with zero sensor acceleration, zero smoothing or filtering and zero pixel rounding.

Users can also further tweak how the G502 Proteus Spectrum performs by adjusting the weight and center of balance by placing up to five 3.6g weights to it. You can also calibrate the sensor against a gaming surface’s physical and reflective characteristics, which will then optimize the sensor's dynamic range to match the properties of the surface.

The Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum is expected to be available in the US starting in January 2016 and will retail for $79.99.
