The field for Super Bowl 50 is set, with the Carolina Panthers set to take on the Denver Broncos. And if this game is anything like the last time the Denver Broncos made the Super Bowl, then the commercials will probably prove more entertaining. With that said, a Super Bowl ad is an expensive proposition, usually reserved for top-tier brands from around the world, which this year, will include Pokemon.
The Pokemon Company has released the full 30-second ad set to air on Super Bowl Sunday, February 2, during the third quarter. Shot in Rio de Janeiro, the commercial highlights the very roots of what launched Pokemania in the first place: a quest to catch 'em all and a burning desire to be the very best.
A 30-second cut is set to air during the big game, but there's also an extended cut of the commercial and that can be seen in its entirety below.
