The following is a spoiler-free review for the first episode of M. Night Shyamalan's Servant on Apple TV+. The first three episodes premiere Thanksgiving day, followed by weekly installments on Fridays.
Servant, Apple TV+'s creepy new series from M. Night Shyamalan and creator/writer Tony Basgallop, has already been picked up for a second season, which is auspicious news given that Shyamalan and Basgallop have a 60-episode saga in mind for the series, stretching over six seasons. A curious notion indeed, given that the story involves four characters and one location. It doesn't have a sprawling ensemble like Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead. Though the fact that the twisted tale takes place mostly all in one posh Philadelphia home makes production a lot simpler, set-wise.
