While the Dawn of X lineup features books with titles that should be familiar to X-Men readers - X-Force, The Marauders, Excalibur, etc. - those teams tend to be dramatically different takes on familiar concepts. The Marauders, for example, has almost nothing to do with the classic team of villains. New Mutants seems to be the one outlier in that regard. This is still the book about a younger generation of mutants finding their way in the world. It even features many veterans from the Claremont era like Sunspot, Magik, Wolfsbane and Moonstar (with a couple Generation X favorites thrown in for good measure). If this ambitious X-Men relaunch has you pining for simpler time, New Mutants may be just the dose of normalcy you crave.
