Warning: Full spoilers for the episode below.
As next week's episode of Gotham is the Season 2 fall finale (aka - the last time you'll see Gotham for three full months), tonight's "The Son of Gotham" was rather busy. As to be expected. A lot of blood spilled (dem monks!), a lot of punches thrown (big fights between Tabitha and Alfred, and then Bruce and Theo), and a bit of well-crafted con artistry made for a loaded episode.
But really all I want to talk about is Penguin freakin' clogging Riddler's toilet. With, we can only assume, is a giant Cobblecrap. I'm sorry, I know that little throwaway scene is neither here nor there in the grand scheme of things. And was just put in to add some levity. But - like - I really took a huge pause when it happened. Ed on the phone arguing with Oswald about what he must have done to the commode in order to render it useless. This became all I wanted to talk about. So much so that I almost missed Penguin calling back to ask about the spicy mustard - which was clearly right in front of him in the fridge! Perhaps within Oswald's love of spicy things lies the key to the broken toilet. Yes, I'm busily crafting entire theories about this. Particularly one about a young plumber who arrives on the scene and is driven mad by what he witnesses. Boom! Joker.
