Warning: Full spoilers for the episode follow.
The modus operandi of Outcast seems to be that of The Walking Dead's, which is to say, a slow burn. Indeed, this week's "All Alone Now" dragged more than the last two episodes and ultimately didn't accomplish much. That said, there was some solid character work here, not just for Anderson and Kyle but Megan and Mark as well. That's in addition to newcomers Luke and Blake, who got the ball rolling on this episode with the show's most unsettling opener yet.
If you're familiar with the Outcast comic, then you probably recognized this week's "buddy" cop storyline -- although it was much more gruesome in live action. It also shed more light on Kyle's situation in that he's apparently a known entity among demon circles. The moral struggle of choosing between a man's soul and finding answers was an interesting one for Kyle and Anderson. Obviously each character had their own interests in mind: Kyle wanted to be rid of the demons for good and Anderson sought vindication for his "noble" path.
