Sure, Hotel pandered a little bit this week for its Halloween episode (which wasn't quite as fun as last week's Devil's Night outing) by throwing in two next-level douchebags for Iris to slaughter as her inaugural kill, but it was still enjoyable. Because - well - they were terrible people. Exaggerated non-chararacters, most definitely, but it was still nice to see them get gutted.
In fact, the episode sort of stretched out Iris' breakdown a bit too long, if we're parsing things. I mean, I was ready for those two hipsters to get butchered as soon as they walked up to the front desk and introduced themselves as "influencers." As dragged out as their demise became however, Iris' new lease on life was still the best thing about "Room Service."
