Bethesda Softworks has revealed the first patch for Fallout 4 will be released next week.
Bethesda Game Studios will continue its patch release process of making a beta patch available on Steam, the follow it up with a full release on PC, then release on consoles. “This process has worked well for us in the past and allows us to get more fixes out faster,” the studio writes in a new blog post.
The studio plans on releasing more updates that are smaller and more frequent, instead of a few larger patches throughout the year. This process allows it to make sure each fix is working correctly since any change to the game can have unintentional side effects in a game as large as Fallout 4.
