To wrap up its opening Blizzcon keynote, Blizzard revealed some new information about World of Warcraft's next expansion, called Legion. First unveiled in early August, this expansion explores the return of the dreaded Burning Legion.
In addition to new story content that sees the Alliance and Horde take aim at the resurgent Burning Legion, players can also pick up new weapons of legend that will grow right alongside them. Those that pick up Legion can immediately level a character up to 100, essentially allowing them to skip ahead to the new story content. The expansion is now available to pre-purchase. Those that pre-purchase Legion will also receive the new Demon Hunter character.
Blizzard's Mike Morhaime also announced that WoW would once again be raising money for charity. On December 2, a Brightpaw pet will be made available for WoW users. Proceeds for this purchase will go towards the Make-A-Wish foundation.
We will post the intro cinematic as soon as it's up!
