It looks like the PSP's finally entering its final stretch of life, as unfortunate as that is.
Sony has officially announced that the PlayStation Store for PSP will be shuttered on March 31 for the SCEA region. It's already been taken down in Europe as of 2014.
But don't worry about the content you've already paid for and downloaded. You'll still be able to access it, as well as make in-game purchases. You just won't be able to access the PlayStation Store.
As of right now, Sony hasn't given an explanation as to why this decision has been made, but it likely has to do with the eventual shuttering that'll probably happen with the handheld.
