E3 2016: Xbox One and 360 games may soon work on Windows 10

Here we go, the latest and greatest from Shacknews...

Microsoft has been trying to get its consoles and Windows 10 working more closely together, and according to another early leak before Microsoft's press conference today, they may be close to making it happen.

A user on Twitter (via Polygon) said that "Xbox One games just showed up in Windows Store Library under Works on this device section as Currently unavailable." Another tipster said "Each game has a store page listing Windows 10 as a system requirement and list them as 'Currently unavailable' when I click the 'Install' button. Some games specify different graphic card requirements. They appear in the Works on this device section on the Library page on the Windows Store."

This could be a mistake, or further evidence that MS is close to getting the cross compatibility issue solved and ready to roll out. MIcrosoft's Phil Spencer has previously said that cross-buy options between Xbox and Windows 10 would be "good for gamers." Quantum Break had that option when it was released in April.

Let's see if this leak proves true when the press conference kicks off shortly.
