Warning: Full spoilers for the episode below.
Okay, flat out, I'm not a fan of the abrupt way this chapter ended. I'm not shocked, since Vikings episodes tend to bunch up during the final ten minutes or so, and squeeze a lot of story into the last part of an installment, but this one just cut us off right as it seemed like Aethelwulf was making his final stand.
On the upswing though, "On the Eve," Season 4's penultimate episode, was action-packed. Last week, in "Revenge," we skipped over the battle and swung right into the torture of King Aella. This week was, pretty much, all about the action, and the warfare, as separate battles in both Kattegat and Wessex showcased our main characters thinking on their feet, employing out-of-the-box tricks, and dismantling their enemies.
