This is a non-spoilery review for all eight episodes of Humans: Season 2. These episodes have already aired overseas, but since they won't premiere here until Monday, February 13th on AMC, this review won't delve into story-specific twists and turns.
Humans is back with a busy, satisfying second season that solidly builds on the world created back in Season 1 and expands it outward and upward in believable and mostly-grounded ways. There are still, a times, a few too many moving parts happening at once, and the show sometimes strains under its noble effort to show all sides of the A.I. argument simultaneously, but there are some very effective moments in Season 2 -- some shockingly poignant beats -- that really showcase the series' ability to strum your heartstrings.
