Taboo: "Episode 5" Review

Taboo is one of the most gorgeous shows on the air right now. It has a distinct visual style that creates a personality for the FX-BBC co-production, immediately setting the tone for the type of series you're going to be watching.

That continues to be the case with "Episode 5," which featured some truly striking cinematography, from James Delaney's journey down the river to his duel with Zilpha's husband Thorne to the scene with Lorna and Delaney (and Winter) down by the water to simple establishing shots of buildings in London. "Episode 5" marks the transition from director Kristoffer Nyholm (who helmed the first four) to director Anders Engström, who is off to a strong start in the back half of Season 1.
