Capcom offers update on unstable Street Fighter 5 servers

Here we go, the latest and greatest from Shacknews...

Stop me if you've heard this one before. Yesterday, the Street Fighter V servers went down for a round of scheduled maintenance... which rapidly turned into a much longer period of maintenance. Servers were down for hours beyond the initial estimate, which left some egg on Capcom's faces after it declared less than a week earlier that matchmaking issues were fixed. So the question on fans' minds now revolve around just how stable the game's servers are, following a week of launch and over three betas. Capcom is now addressing some of those concerns.

"Matchmaking for Ranked and Casual battles is continuingly being improved for most users," states the Capcom-Unity post. "Throughout the weekend and after the server reset, most players should be matched up with opponents at a quicker rate than before."

While that statement applies to North American users, European and Middle Eastern users are being advised that matchmaking on their end is not quite out of the woods yet. Capcom is currently working on resolving their issues. Furthermore, Battle Lounges are also having their share of issues and Capcom is estimating a fix in 'the coming weeks.'
