NIS America has announced Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors will be releasing on the PlayStation Vita in North America and Europe in September.
Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors expands both the gameplay mechanics and the universe of the original title, Criminal Girls: Invite Only. Players will once again return to the depths of Hell to guide a new group of Delinquents through the Reformation Program. There are a total of seven girls this time around to guide, although one of them isn’t who they appear to be, thus causing mistrust within the group. It’s up to you to uncover each girl’s unique story to hopefully shape them into the women they need to be in order to find redemption.
Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors features a new skill tree that helps the player guide each girls’ growth along either an S or M path through the use of the new Coaching system.
In a blog post published on NIS America’s site, the publisher acknowledges some changes needed to be made to the original game for its Western release. Some of the art has been redrawn in order make the Motivation scenes less explicit, some terminology has been changed, such as changing “Punishment” to be framed as “Motivation.” Additional changes include no native language support, meaning the game will have English subtitles with a Japanese voice track, and the removal of Motivation scene dialogues.
At least NIS America promises Criminal Girls 2 will take full advantage of the Vita's touchscreen as players will be able to interact with the game's characters through a number of minigames. The game's Live 2D system will allow each character to reach to the player's touch, which should hopefully make up for all of its censorship.
Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors will release on the PS Vita in North America on September 20.
