Ninja-K #1 Review

2017 has been a great year for anyone looking to dive head-first into Valiant's shared comic book universe. Following on the heels of the relaunched X-O Manowar and Bloodshot Salvation, Ninja-K arrives to offer readers an easy gateway into the world of ninja super-spies. The first issue lacks the elegant efficiency of those other two books, but it nonetheless makes a strong case for adding another Valiant title to your pull list.

Ninja-K stars the hero formerly known as Ninjak, and the reason for that name-change is very much at the heart of the new series. Much like how Wolverine once discovered that "Weapon X" actually means "Weapon Ten," it's been revealed that Colin King is actually the latest in a long line of British secret agents trained in the art of ninjitsu. Now, a mysterious enemy is eliminating old Ninjas one by one, and it's only a matter of time before Ninja-K is next on their list.
