Warning: Full spoilers for the episode below.
Season 3 continued its strong run of episodes with “Imperial Super Commandos,” an installment that managed to further Rebels' storylines and characters while also touching upon important Star Wars history – both on and off-screen.
Fenn Rau was a cool character in his introduction in Season 2’s “The Protector of Concord Dawn,” so it was great to see him return here. He was a well done example of the honorable enemy, and opening the episode with Rau and Sabine playing the Star Wars equivalent of chess was a nice touch – both establishing them trying to figure each other out and the respect he was being given as a prisoner, which would help set up his eventual decision to help Sabine and Ezra.
