Warning: Full spoilers for the episode below.
This week marked the first time Oliver Queen confronted Adrian Chase with the knowledge that Chase is also the masked killer who’s been making his life miserable for the past few months. Chase remarked, “It’s good to finally have everything out in the open.” And he was telling the truth. Now that the focus of Season 5 has shifted from, “Who is Prometheus?” to “What does Chase truly want?”, this villain has only grown more compelling.
Chase being revealed as Prometheus won’t exactly go down in history as one of the more shocking twists on Arrow. Mostly because the new additions to the cast are always the most likely suspects in these cases, but also because it’s been clear from the beginning that there’s something a little off about Chase. There was always a subtle, unhinged quality to Josh Segarra’s performance that was impossible to ignore.
