Several notable Marvel Comics characters made their live-action debut in Iron Fist’s sixth (and, so far, most fun and comic book-y) episode.
Iron Fist fans should be happy the series finally introduced Lei Kung (Hoon Lee), Danny’s mentor from K’un Lun. Part-drill sergeant and part-Jedi master, Lei Kung continues to test Danny from, well, somewhere beyond. Is Lei Kung — first introduced via voice-over before we finally see him — a figment of Danny’s imagination, a visiting spirit, or a bit of both? Danny is the only one who sees or hears him, which weirds out some and seems a distraction when in the midst of fighting for one’s life.
