Warning: Full spoilers for the episode below.
In what was, essentially, a half hour-long fight sequence -- slyly shifting from Ash vs. Henrietta to Ash vs. Baal -- "Second Coming" wrapped up Ash vs Evil Dead's second season in ferocious fisticuffs style - though not quite everything worked, payoff-wise.
It felt immensely satisfying to see things end with the Evil Dead cabin collapsing in flames, hell opening up underneath it. Like I mentioned last week, it was great to have both seasons of this show end with a two cabin episodes, each endgame arc done under different circumstances. Here, in this blast into the past, it was Ash trying to course correct everything, though as we'd discover, Baal was still very much at large and working his trickery. He had not been defeated by Pablo and instead had manipulated Ash to go back into the past so that he could find a still-evil Ruby.
