Warning: The following contains spoilers about the episode.
A friendly game of baseball is at the middle of the story this week. Although designed as another filler episode, it stood well on it’s own thanks to some creative storytelling and the return of Yamcha.
Baseball appears to be the one constant in the multiverse, as Champa from Universe 6 uses it as an excuse to get food from Earth. The ongoing theme that the Gods of Destruction can have their angers tempered by fine cuisine has continued to make me smile. Food as always been a large part of Dragon Ball and having the gods cherish the food of Earthlings feels like a natural progression of that. There is only so much food in the world though, and at the rate Beerus is consuming it, surely it won’t be long until the Earth runs out of delicious treats and we’ll see what happens when Beerus is left hungry and angry.
