Note: This review contains full spoilers for Fear the Walking Dead: Season 2 in the latter half, but you'll find a spoiler warning when those kick in.
Coming off a short six-episode first season, Fear the Walking Dead was given the breathing room to expand on its world and characters this summer - complete with a midseason break that effectively worked to split the story and split up the main characters.
This would be the time for the show to, basically, take its time and give us more insight into our heroes' hearts and minds while correcting some of the missteps from the first season. By the end, yes, I think it worked with regards to some characters, but not all. Travis, who ended Season 1 with a ferocious fit of anger and then a tragic moment where he had to pull the trigger on his ex-wife came out of Season 2 a much more well-rounded character - a good man who, basically, put the zompocalpyse on hold in order to try and reach out to his son.
