I love the continuing motif of beginning each episode on Dolores’ face. Not only does it fit with the loops Dolores herself is experiencing, but I’m guessing perhaps we’ll be seeing some differences in her demeanor as time goes on and she continues to change.
Because change is what is indeed occurring, as Dolores and Bernard discussed when he gave her Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland – and we got more insight into their relationship and how he’s given her plenty of books before. This episode made clear just how much Bernard, who has lost his son, has formed a fatherly attachment to Dolores – doing his best to help her “grow up.”
