Officially debuting this Thursday (after the pilot aired as a special preview following Mr. Robot's season finale), Falling Water is a cerebral new supernatural series on USA exploring dreams, reality and human connection. Based on its hour-long pilot, the new show from executive producer Gale Anne Hurd is highbrow, but it remains to be seen if the show turns out to be as interesting as it considers itself.
The story is relatively straightforward, all things considered: three people find themselves drawn together as their dreams prove to be more than just unconscious thoughts. Tess (Lizzie Brochere) is a trend spotter who can tap into the collective desires of the masses to discover the next it thing that will be popular in the fashion world, but she is tormented by the certainty she had a child despite the fact there's no evidence her body ever gave birth.
